Well, tomorrow's a holiday so today marks the official end of my first week working at my new job. So far I have to say this... it's kicking my ass...
lol for those of you that don't know, I now work for Para USA, in their factory, making guns. It's kinda cool, I like the job a lot more than I thought I would. I stay busy all the time which is great, I HATE sitting on a job and doing nothing or struggling to find work to do. So this suits me quite well. How many other jobs could you have where it's common place to see someone walk around with a gun in each hand and no one even gives them a second look? Another thing that makes this job interesting is that so far, I'm the only female factory worker this company has ever had. (the benefits are pretty awesome too
So far, I'm in charge of painting gun parts and painting isn't a bad thing. It was a bit crazy on my first day in. First they gave me an easy job to learn at the factory, like, just putting the grips on the guns. Really simple. Then I get kidnapped and they're like, "our painter didn't come in today so we need you to learn to paint NOW."
o.o ... yes my first day, hit the ground running.
Then again, I like things that way.
I'm a bit concerned about inhaling the fumes though x_x. I can't help but think "Hmm, how many brain cells have I murdered today?" The paint booth is very well ventilated but the smell is ... yuck. I suppose I'll just request a face mask and see if that helps any more than that huge fan. It gets most of the fumes but not all of it. And those airbrush things x_x they're so heavy! The gun parts have to be airbrushed with this special paint but you don't get a nice, small, lightweight airbrush, no... you get this giant 5 pound mother fu**er xD One thing I must say, I will have some very nicely toned arms after this.
But for now, my arms, shoulders, and wrists are in pain. Even my fingers hurt!!! So it might be a little while before I get back to using my tablet and coloring some stuff. Sorry to you guys that I owe colored works to, I'm gonna get to it after I get settled into my new job better and I'm not in pain when I come home every day.
Thanks for reading! Things are definitely looking better now lol.
