Kaida - New Armor

Okay, here's yet another picture of Kaida. I completely and totally re-drew her armor, so she looks a little different. I hope it looks better than the other considering that it's been quite a while since the last one I drew of her. Again, here's the character profile for her. More character's to come!!

Name: Kaida (means "Little Dragon" in Japanese)

Personality and Brief History: Kaida and her family were all driven out of their homeland nine years previous when the Valcor took over that country. Ever since, Kaida has gone against the largely peaceful traditions of her people and joined the fight to win back the homeland. Unknown to many others, her family disowned her because of her different views, claiming that when the rest of the lands fall, they don’t wish to be on the receiving end of the Valcor punishment on those who rebelled. They refuse to have anything to do with her now, going so far as to pick up and leave their temporary home in Nosalia one day while she was gone on a call of duty. She came back to find her home completely empty and herself alone. She still feels love for her family and fights for them though they seem to hate her. This has had quite the impact on her though most would never see it. Despite the dire situations, she hides her troubles behind jokes and pranks and likes to have a good laugh, most often at a fellow soldier’s expense. She has been doubted before for the fact that she is a woman and a nymph, but has showed enough crazy heroics to earn respect from those who serve with her. She is also accepted rather well for her ability to use Ice Elemental magic very efficiently. Because of her family situation, she develops strong attachments to her friends and considers Keefe and Seiya to be her “army family” and is rarely seen without one or the other or even both by her side.

Weapons and Items: Kaida has more of a talent for pole weapons than for the sword, mainly due to her small size. Her weapon of choice, the Naginata, helps her to make up for what she lacks in reach and through hard work and training, she has become rather good with it. She had to fork out all the money she had for one and she never lets the weapon out of her sight. Often it is strapped to her back while she travels, but when times get rough or she gets he feeling that something is about to happen, she keeps it in hand. On her forehead is a light blue jewel surrounded by a small boarder of gold. It is a special stone that amplifies her abilities. All nymphs have a stone like hers that are given to them when they come of age.
